What Problems did Porvorim Face?
In 2012, Porvorim had a very different scenario in terms of electricity supply. Lack of adequate infrastructure meant there were frequent power shortages and often power outages. Besides, over cables meant endangerment to the lives of people as they would often break due to bad weather conditions.
What we Achieved?
Today, after 4 years of dedicated working and spending 17 crores. Electricity supply has improved greatly. Firstly, we have identified the problems and then carried out improvements.
- Ensured additional load for Porvorim to decrease shutdowns and Fluctuating voltage.
- Increased the number of feeders.
- Underground cables have been laid from Tivim to Porvorim substation.
- Upgraded and increased the number of transformers.

- This has ensured continuous power supply to all the households in the constituency.
- Drop in voltage fluctuations and power outages.
