The entire country is up in protests against EIA (Environment Impact Assessment) proposal and here in Goa we have a Dr CM who’s making a mockery of nature loving Goans by exhibiting double standards on similar issues involving Goa.
On one hand, he builds up a tempo of opposition to Karnataka on the Mhadei issue and on the other hand, rampant tree felling is being carried out in the Mollem biodiversity in the name of development!
The biggest anomaly is that while we’re cutting trees in Mollem for the proposed projects, our counterparts in Karnataka are fulfilling the compensatory afforestation requisites on our behalf in an attempt to depict that they are nature friendly. This dilutes the Mhadei water issue as a friendly affair between two states while in reality, Karnataka is reaping benefits on the both ends, thereby making the Government of Goa look like a clown to the nation.
Why the double standards? Whom are we trying to fool at the risk of destroying Mother Nature?? Or is it that the highly blown up fight with Karnataka is just a BJP sponsored gimmick between the two BJP governments while making fools of people on both sides???
It’s becoming extremely difficult to understand the political doctrines of this Doctor CM for they either reek of confusion or corruption and sometimes they are just a means to deviate the public attention from the real issue.
Every state in the country is setting up committees and the governments are actively pushing against the New EIA policy aimed at whole-scale destruction of our environment but Dr Pramod Sawant seems to show no interest in such sensitive subjects. He’s quite happy fooling Goans with his double standards while Goa is losing out on an entire river and at the same time losing our green cover in Mollem. Everything else can be summed up as politics but Dotor Bab, don’t fool with Mother Nature for it is something that we need to pass down to our future generations.
For once, take a stand as the CM of Goa, take a stand for Goemkarponn which is synonymous with Nature Loving, Take a Unified Stand on Mhadei & Mollem and all such Environmental Issues to retain “Sundor Sobit Goa” for the future generations of Goans.
Can we expect some Goemkarponn from the CM of Goa?
