We realized that before 2012, Porvorim constituency lacked facilities to encourage the spirit of fitness among the residents. It did not have adequate grounds for different sports or parks designed to facilitate walking or jogging.
In order to solve the issue we we began to develop the required infrastructure. It was designed keeping in mind the young and the old generation. Our aim was to provide the youth access to different types of sporting facilities. Also, senior citizens can enjoy the walking trek or even the gardens. In 2016, we have much to show.
Achievements:
- Joggers park is being built next to the market complex.
- Construction of multipurpose complexes with sports facilities in the villages of Socorro and Salvador Do Mundo are underway.
