What the Situation was?
One of the most important facility to be present in a constituency is a health care center. Unfortunately before 2012 people of Porvorim had no access to such facility. They had to travel to other places for the basic health care needs.
What we have Achieved?
In 2016, we can be proud to have solved the issues. Today Porvorim residents do not have travel to other places to get the basic health care needs.
Development undertaken in regards to health facilities:
- Health care center set up in Porvorim constituency.
- 2 health sub centers set up as well.
- Regular health camps are held to:
a) Encourage blood donation
b) Eye check up
c) Cataract operation
d) Cervical and breast cancer awareness
e) Orthopedic check up - Ambulance service launched for the benefit of citizens
- Hearse service is made available
