CMs Total Failure-Voices of Dissent from Within…

Total Failure of CM Pramod Sawant and his Government is evident from the fact that voices of dissent are coming out from within the Government itself. Administrators are fed up with the lethargic attitude of CMOs which is dragging Goa to its doom forcing genuine people with concern for Goa to come out openly against the CM & his Decadent Governance !

The latest issue pertains to Shri. Damodar Kochkar , GSIA President and GIDC Board member alleging inaction by CM which is followed up by Shri Glen Ticlo, Chairman, GIDC going on record that he’s not receiving any support from the present CM after the sad demise of Ex-CM, Shri Manohar Parrikar.

This is a clear indicator that Dr Pramod Sawant has absolutely failed to fill in the shoes of our erstwhile visionary Shri Parrikar. The industrial development of Goa has been on reverse mode for 3/4 years since the change of CM. The choice of Dr Sawant as CM Was,

Is and Shall continue to be the worst chapter in the history of Goa. It can be simply left to imagination as to what vile scheming might have been mitigated in those difficult times by our Dr Corruption to get into the CMs Chair! The BJPs spokesperson in one of his recent press briefings admitted that in the final months, Shri Parrikar was constrained by many factors including health and his physical absence from the state and these factors have had a detrimental impact on certain contestable decisions. As far as Goans are concerned, the choice of Dr Pramod Sawant as CM is the most contestable decision which has proved absolutely devastating for Goa. Right from the day this Accidental CM assumed charge, we have been plagued with scams, grafts, blatant corruption, purposeful lethargy in Governance, indecisiveness and total administrative failure. Crime rates have escalated and we are also witnessing an unprecedented level of Drugs, Mafia and related national and international criminal activities.

The Lokayukta too considered it necessary in its wisdom to come down severely on this Government in Labour scam, Communidade land misappropriation etc.So much so that the Lokayukta’s High Office of Justice was compelled to say that “Only God Can Save Goa” from this Government but still Dr Corruption continues shamelessly. Anyone else would have resigned immediately but then moral turpitude is always the shield of Corruption!

The GIDC viewpoints are just the tip of this Government’s Absolute Failure on the Economic front. While sustenance and revival of the manufacturing industry that supports the economy and livelihood of thousands should be the priority of the Government, our CM has taken upon himself to bring to a standstill the entire industry with his indecisiveness and delay tactics in taking crucial measures to revive the economy. The lowly position of 24th in EoDB is a clear indicator that industries and businesses will keep away from Goa. Instead of providing an Industry & Business friendly environment, we’re exhibiting a corrupt and lethargic governance which is diverting investors to other states .

Dr Pramod Sawant and his Government has failed to maintain the tempo of progress by expediting SEZs, IPBs and providing an Industry & Investor Friendly Environment and thus brought us to this pitiful industrial crisis so quickly in his term of Governance itself and we can witness total destruction of industrial sector in Goa by the time he finishes his tenure as CM.

The frustration of GIDC & it’s able Administrators who aim at positive revival of industry is evident from the fact that the Chairman has even suggested to move out. This is a shame for the CM whose office is blamed for delays and interferences that’s destroying the GIDC and it’s very purpose of ensuring industrial development of Goa. The negligent attitude of the CM to the industry isn’t surprising as he’s too busy with his political game’s catering to the Central dictats and offering political patronage to the Drug & Crime Syndicates. With BJP already into election mode, the moolah lies in Drugs and Corruption not in industrial development.

Whether the industry survives in Goa is irrelevant because remaining in Power is most relevant for the CM and BJP! as CM.

Welcoming The Proposal to Reduce 50% License Fees of Beach Shacks

Welcoming the proposal of Tourism Minister Babu Azgaonker to reduce 50% license fees of beach shacks.

The proposal is well in tune with the pandemic times that has taken its toll on Goan Tourism industry. This being the backbone of our economy, I urge the Minister and the CM to look into providing further relief and support to this industry.
We have the Water Sports segment who have lost out on not just the business but are struggling to maintain their speed boats, jet skis etc in working condition. With no source of income and limited avenues of employment the entire tourism sector and it’s allied services from taxi drivers, tourist vehicle owners, restaurants ,curio shops etc have borne a deep financial impact of the pandemic. There’s an urgent need to assess the impact on this sector and project the same with facts and figures to the Centre to obtain support funding to tide over the crisis.

A Revival & Financial Support Package is the need of the hour to salvage our Tourism sector because it’s sustenance is directly linked to Goa”s economy.o

Eyewash@Private Hospital Rate Reduction

This Government cannot do anything correctly without a crooked angle, even in the Health sector despite having a Doctor as Chief Minister!

First the CMOs announced exorbitantly high capped rates for Private Hospitals which were higher than a day’s charges in a 5 Star hotel. Now it’s gone and reduced a minuscule amount and is announcing it as a big reduction. From the corrupt precedences of this Government, it’s evident that the rates were purposefully kept extremely high in the first instance with the crooked intention of bringing it down to the present rates. This whole review and new rates are just an Eyewash!
And while including certain items within the rates, the life giving Oxygen is surprisingly not inclusive in the rates except in ICU. What medical ethics does the Dr CM exhibit by denying basic oxygen? Corona directly affects the respiratory system hence its downright cruelty against the already suffering Covid patients to exclude the most important treatment item-Oxygen from the rates.
Secondly, such directives should be issued invoking the Disaster Management Act so that any hospitals that flaunt these orders can be taken to task. That’s the only deterrent against the Private Hospitals taking advantage of Covid patients. Has the Administration forgotten how to issue a proper Statutory Directive?

I appeal to the people of Goa to realise the cruel & crooked deathly game’s of this Corrupt Government and come out against this Government headed by Dr Corruption.

Zero Mortality Claims by CM & PMs Call on Local Lockdowns

It’s about a week since our Dr CM announced Zero Mortality but 8 to 10 precious Goan lives are still being lost on daily basis.

Making such Political Announcements for political mileage and moving on to the next opportunity for Corruption won’t suffice. A responsible Head of State and Health Minister should have come up with concrete plans of action before making such announcements because a pandemic is not the stage for political games, we cannot afford to play politics with Corona and death.

Now with the CM himself admitting that all the Covid beds in GMC & Ponda are occupied, does he have an alternative for giving hospital treatment to the ever-growing number of Covid patients? Is this the way he’s going to bring in Zero Mortality?

The very fact that the PM Modiji has asked the state’s to take decision on local lockdowns signifies the gravity of the situation and its time Goa Government takes a prudent decision on the subject in consultation with Health Specialists and all the Elected Representatives.

I have been stressing on the need for increased testing, transparency of facts and figures, involvement of a Chain Management from the CMOs to the Panchayats and Local Self Help Groups etc. All this was always ignored. Now the PM of India has highlighted the same things and I hope Dr Pramod Sawant would act on the suggestions of Elected Representatives in the interest of Goan lives.

Goa is too small a state but with a higher population density and thus qualifies in total for a Micro Containment zone demographically.

Secondly , it’s time the CM admits that Goa is the worst hit and the situation warrants foolproof prevention measures so that no more precious Goans lives are lost to Covid.

I would also stress that if a lockdown is the only solution then ample time should be given for preparedness so as to overcome the mistakes of the first lockdown. This is not the time for vague political statements but a time for scientific approach to curb the everyday ghastly figures of deaths. It’s time for taking a United Stand Against Covid involving everyone.

Love Jihad @ Vinay Tendulkar

Whenever the BJP runs out of steam or is cornered, they immediately come up with the Communal Card to divert the attention from emergent issues.
That’s exactly what our MP Vinay Tendulkar is doing now by raising the communal issue of ‘Love Jihad’ to divert attention since he’s been cornered with the Zhaveri Kaand & Connections with Gurmeet Singh Bumra, Betting, Tirumala Tirupati Credit Society, Money Laundering, Cricket in Canada and God knows what more will surface as detailed investigations are conducted. It is at such a time that our MP is suddenly having visions of our youth falling prey to Love Jihad and maybe in his visions, he has been appointed as the saviour of young Hindus from Love Jihad !
It’s the lowest limits of dirty communal politics that Shri Vinay Tendulkar is playing to cover up and divert attention from his involvements in recent Criminal and Anti-National activities being exposed in Goa. Despite having given clear links , the CM and BJP is conveniently silent on the connections of the MP to the Zhaveri Kaand & Connections but not to worry, everything will soon be exposed, however much they may try to divert attention with Love Jihad or other issues.
How can an MP of his stature stoop so low in these Corona time’s to incite Communal sentiments when people irrespective of their religion/caste are somehow trying to survive the pandemic by putting up a united fight. It’s utterly shameful to bring forth such communal issues and divide the people when the need of the hour is unity of the people.

Such Politicians are the biggest hurdles in the Development of India envisioned by our Hon’ble PM Modiji and it’s time he took cognisance of such Criminal & Communal Elements in BJP that are dangerous to the peace & harmony of India.

The issue of Love Jihad is no doubt a divisive social malice that has been creating communal tensions throughout the country but is this the time to raise such sensitive issues? And the act of the MP becomes all the more belligerent when we know that the real purpose behind raising this issue now is to create a diversion from the extant criminal and anti-national issues plaguing him and his party coterie.

I hope that Goans and our countrymen do not fall prey to this Wolf cries and will teach these demonic communal elements a lesson. It’s time we identify the Wolves hiding amongst the sheep with the intention to destroy peace and communal harmony.

CM v/s HM = Covid Deaths

Right from day one we Goans are witness to utter Mismanagement of Covid situation in Goa. We had achieved the first Green status in the country for which our CM immediately took all the credit and throwing caution to wind, he along with his Quarantine Tourism partner turned us from Green to a Deathly Red within no time! The bungled up Covid SOPs that kept changing every other day to suit the whims and wishes of the CM and his coterie were actually aimed at money making opportunities under the cover of Corona. And while all this Utter Mismanagement was going on our Health Minister Shri Vishwajit Rane was somehow becoming a mute spectator which is so unlike him. It does give food for thought as to whether he was a silent partner to everything. Especially in the wake of allegations regarding Covid purchases, fund mismanagement and related issues. There have always been clear signs of differences between the Health Ministry and the CMOs but the brunt of this lack of co-ordination is being paid by Goans with their lives! The shameful issue of Covid purchases at 6 to 10 time’s the market rates has already been highlighted by the media which our Dr Corruption has ignored as usual, but it’s surprising that the HM Shri Vishwajit Rane too is maintaining a convenient silence. There are also allegations of Covid funds mismanagement as well as distortion of Covid figures which has been substantiated by a Stanford study showing Goa as one of the state’s giving wrong data. The continuous blame on Co-Morbidity to hide actual Covid deaths, non-availability of basic amenities in Government hospitals, harassment of our Covid Warriors in the Medical Fraternity and many such issues raised regularly by the public, media and elected representatives have sadly been never addressed by the Health Minister. The recent announcement to give Covid kits for Home Quarantine will be the next scam if not managed properly. Nothing is free of corruption under Dr Corruption and the Health Minister should guard against offering such opportunities under his watch. The people of Goa have a certain level of expectations from a person like Shri Vishwajit Rane hence his inaction on all such serious issues is not acceptable. Whether it’s due to differences with the CM or in support of the CM who holds a Doctorate in finding Opportunities of Corruption even a Pandemic, the point is that our Health Minister has failed the people of Goa. He’s elected by the Goans to be their voice and not be a puppet to the corrupt CM or to please the Party bosses in Delhi. It’s time to act responsibly and independently before it’s too late for Goans. I request Shri Vishwajit Rane to immediately involve the Army Medical Corps who have the proven capacity to change the present Catastrophic Covid scenario in Goa with their expertise and infrastructure. The capping of rates in Private Hospitals is another sham that shouldn’t have been allowed by the Health Ministry without proper review. The rates are exorbitantly high and beyond the access of majority Goans. Comparatively, a day’s stay in the most luxurious 5star hotel is cheaper! The onus should not be on promoting Private Hospitals rather it should be to use Private Hospitals to supplement the Government Hospitals in time of crisis. The first priority should be to bring on par the facilities and infrastructure in Government Hospitals which are the only solace to the majority population. I have nothing against Private Hospitals and it’s good to involve them in this fight against Covid but what’s alarming is that the conditions at our Government hospitals are substandard, if not, Why’re even our own Ministers/MLAs going to Private Hospitals for treatment? We have the Best, Experienced & Dedicated Medical Fraternity in Government hospitals but are short of infrastructure, supplies and basic amenities. The priority should be to give the best treatment in the state to the poorest of citizens in Government hospitals. Those who can afford Private Hospitals can definitely avail the facility but not because the treatment in Government hospitals is unreliable. Blaming people for bringing in patients late etc is not going to solve the pathetic situation in Government hospitals. Rather, if the task is taken with genuinity, the Health Minister can transform GMC into the best hospital in the state. Similarly, the Health Ministry should have the final say in opening of schools and colleges because these are pandemic times wherein the Health and Life of the population should be the criterion in taking such decisions. Everyone who’s come through schools and colleges know that it’s almost impossible to control children and ensure Covid protocols. A hasty decision will only add to the present spike and put our next generation at grave risk. I also vehemently oppose the politically motivated of the Doctor from Porvorim PHC to satisfy the ego of our CM. It is the Health Ministers concern to ensure that all the people of Goa get proper medical attention and abetting to cheap party politics by denying a Doctor to Porvorim which is witnessing a rapid rise in Covid cases is very cruel and unbecoming of someone like Vishwajit Rane and the Health Minister’s Office which is the most important wing of Government in these pandemic times. The Health Ministers decision are directly related to the life and death of Goans and we expect him to rise above pettiness and party politics to provide a Full time Doctor immediately to Porvorim PHC failing which the sufferings of every Covid patient in Porvorim will be the direct responsibility of the Health Minister. Shri Vishwajit Rane should appreciate that the Responsibility of the Health Minister lies to the people of Goa and it’s time he act’s as a True Representative of Goans and works for the health and welfare of Goans.

Capping of Rates at Private Hospitals Cannot be Considered a Solution

Capping of rates at Private Hospitals cannot be considered a solution to the Covid Mismanagement by the CMOs. In fact this is another glaring example of further mismanagement because the number of Doctors available in Private Hospitals is very less and so are the other medical staff like nurses, ward boys etc. Their infrastructure is also limited in handling mass cases. With the capping of rates, more people who can afford will crowd into the Private Hospitals stretching their capacities. Government should put in place ambulances, infrastructure and manpower to manage the rush to the Private Hospitals. Only then will this system work seamlessly to complement the Government Hospitals.
While fully agreeing to the fact that Private sector should be involved, there should be a focus on equipping the Government Hospitals on par. Instead the CMOs is giving the wrong signals to the common man of Goa. All our Ministers/MLAs are seeking treatment in high end Private Hospitals which creates a doubt as to whether our Ministers/MLAs don’t have faith in Government hospitals.
It has also been pointed out that the capped rates in Goa are one of the highest in the country which the general population or even middle class cannot afford. Our Government Doctors have proved to be Angels in this pandemic but are running short of infrastructure & manpower and related facilities in Government Hospitals. There should not be double standards when it comes to medical treatment whether it’s a poor commoner or rich and powerful people.

The right step would be to equip our Government Hospitals on par and the Private Hospital’s will supplement the Government Hospitals by providing the same status of treatment & facilities to those who can afford. But our situation is just the opposite, the common man of Goa is struggling to get basic amenities in Government Hospitals and meet with suffering and death while the rich and powerful get preferential treatment in Private Hospitals.
This is a violation of the Basic Right of Equality to Life and Health and a hard blow to the people of Goa reeling under the deathly impact of Corona.

Seafarers, Expats in the Dock

Our seafarers have always been the pride of Goa for generations and every new generation contributes its fair share of young Goans to this industry.
We also have Expat Goans who had to return back to their native Goa due to Covid related negative employment situations in their respective countries. Majority of these expats are left stranded due to loss of jobs, non-improvement of the situation in those countries and other reasons. They are finding it difficult to find gainful employment.

Following Covid-19 our seafarers and expats are in a financial crisis and my heart goes out to these people who have always contributed to the cash infusions into the Goan economy. Our Government has failed them on all fronts and although there was much talk about their rehabilitation, nothing concrete has come out from the CMOs to alleviate the plight of the seafarers and expats.
It’s rather a pathetic thing that our Government went to the extent of literally extorting money from our seafarers & expats for Quarantine facilitation. I had opposed this vehemently at that time and even now I demand that the Government should adopt a benevolent attitude by returning the Quarantine fees levied unfairly on these people who were returning to their homes in wake of a world pandemic. It was highly insensitive to charge them at that time and now is the opportunity to makeup for that insensitivity by returning their hard earned money. Most of them are in a dire financial situation and this money would be a most welcome relief.
Viable employment for these special category of people with sea skills is difficult and they men have been working odd jobs to make ends meet. Similar is the situation of the expat Goans stranded in Goa of which many are highly skilled but find no employment opportunities.
It’s time the Government took up their cause and devise a Rehabilitation Package demanding special funds from the Centre.

In fact, it’s because of the CMOs Careless Attitude and Mismanagement that the Centre allotted meagre funds to Goa while states like Mizoram received higher Covid funds. A better and studied projection for fund’s would have ensured a higher allotment but then our CM is perennially studying every topic but without results. He keeps studying every subject but never answers exams so no results!

I earnestly implore the CM to stop studying and start taking up these issues with the Centre on priority basis seeking funds for the Rehabilitation of our seafarers and stranded expats.

MOPA – Corruption Grande

Mopa Airport is considered a Grand project of Goa but with Dr Corruption’s involvement it will be the Grandest Corruption project we have ever seen!

Following my allegations about Nepotism and favours being given to GMR the CM has used the party mouthpieces to give vague diversion to the subject matter. A single person occupying three positions that are inter-linked leads to a high possibility of nepotism. Such a factor is detrimental for the success of any project because it’s sure to be embroiled in repeated controversies.

It’s when the hidden agendas behind this duality came to light that the matter was raised by me in public forum but the CM is still trying to justify the same for obvious reasons. If the present Government is so upright then it shouldn’t be arguing in the press about the dual position but should immediately take remedial action to rectify the status and clear its stand.

But then what else can be expected from a CM who has given an entirely new dimension to Corruption. Instead of setting things right or giving a direct statement to the allegations as the Chairman of MADA, our Dr Corruption is trying to coverup the issue with BJP sponsored media games. But it’s pathetic to see that a national party like BJP cannot even counter the allegations in a convincing manner. So we have press releases from dimwits who don’t even know what they are trying to coverup.

Shri Pramod Sawant is the only single Political Head in the entire Project and as CM of the State, he holds sway over the whole project and hence the accusations levelled against him are neither misplaced nor to be answered by the Party mouthpiece. This is not party politics but straight and clear charges of nepotism and cultivation of fresher fields of Corruption throughout this prestigious project. The onus is singularly on Dr Pramod Sawant to respond in person and clarify the position and not for some party stooge to parrot out a nonsensical press report to such grave accusations.

If he’s so clear of conscience then it’s for Dr Pramod Sawant to exonerate himself and the high office of the CM from the charges levelled against him. I challenge him to come clean on this matter by issuing an official statement as CM of Goa.

Sadly, Calangute Again

On the heels of the Gambling Den bust, Calangute is again in the news for Fake Currency haul from tourists. Atleast now, Goans should start understanding the real motive behind Quarantine Tourism. The innocent people of Goa who like to live their lives peacefully should drop their Susegad attitude and realise that their simple lives are under attack from high profile Criminal activities under the full support of our Politicians. We need to open our eyes to the fact that Calangute & Goa’s is being transformed into the Crime & Drug capital of India.

Counterfeit currency is a direct finger pointing to National level criminals making Calangute their hub of activities. The general public of Goa needs to appreciate the links between Counterfeit currency and Terrorism. The inflow of Counterfeit currency has been traced to Pakistan and its ISI sponsored terrorist groups. Add to this the Drug Business, Money Laundering, Mafia & Bollywood connections deepening its roots in Goa under the Political Patronage and we’re becoming more of an an International Crime Destination instead of International Tourist Destination!
More and more of our youngsters are falling prey to the criminal traps of these organised Crime Syndicates & Drug’s are destroying an entire generation because our Pablo & His Boss have thrown open Goa to Crime, Drugs and Anti-Nationals. The day is not far when Cross Border Terrorism will be funded by criminal activities in Goa!
