Goa BJPs Losing Central Grip

With Central neglect and sidelining taking place on almost every issue related to Goa, it’s evident that Goa-BJP has lost its central grip. The Central Bosses are busy concentrating on bigger states like Karnataka, UP, Bihar etc and our CM Pramod Sawant has totally failed to carry forward the powerful central influence that Shri Parrikar had exhibited. The Accidental CM considered as the protege of the eminent Manohar Bhai has failed to maintain his legacy on all fronts.

Dr Pramod Sawant failed to keep up the administrative progress and developmental tempo of Shri Parrikar and has in fact contributed in destroying the advantages we had with the Centre due to his lackadaisical approach, administrative failures and absolute mismanagement, especially Covid Mismanagement. The penchant of the CM & His Coterie of Corrupt Lords for finding opportunities of corruption and nepotism in everything has become a bone of contention for BJP but with the kind of brain-drain existent in Goa BJP, the Centre seemingly is helpless to take corrective action by replacement.

Hence the Centre is left with the only option of purposeful neglect of the present BJP Goa’s standing. This leaves much to be desired about the so called leadership and bargaining power of Shri Pramod Sawant with the Centre. He’s lost his standing which is clear from the Centre’s stand giving priority to Karnataka on critical issues like Mhadei. This loss of face at the Centre is cemented by the fact that Shri Javadekar refused to comment in favour of Goa on the Mhadei issue despite being in Goa!

Goa was also shortened on Covid funds and the CM has failed to obtain a better funding parameter atleast in comparison to states like Mizoram etc with far less Covid impact. The GST sharing is still a faraway dream and Goa is being pushed to insignificance by the Centre on all matters. Once again, this speaks volumes about CM Pramod Sawant becoming an insignificant pawn as he’s lost grip with the Central Bosses. Maybe that’s why he rushed to Delhi in the name of mining! The fact that he’s unable to get a solution despite BJP being in the Centre & State is proof enough of his incompetence and the resultant loss of face at the centre.

And it may also be the only plausible reason why Goa has reduced the Covid testing ratio so as to project a lower infection rate to the Centre and coverup the Covid Mismanagement. It’s utterly cruel on part of the CM & Health Minister to play upto the Centre by risking the lives of Goans with purposeful lowering of testing ratio. The fact that the they’re resorting to such cheap tactics to show false figures despite coming up for adverse observations by Stanford study is proof enough to understand that they have seemingly achieved the ultimate levels of shamelessness.

The repeated shaming by Lokayukta is another glaring example of this Governments rampant corruption & administrative failure. Such Repeated Humiliation from the Lokayukta bear a clear indicator of the dirty Corruption levels of Dr Pramod Sawant Governance Model in comparison to the Parrikar Model!

It truly looks as if the Lion has given the baton to a weak squeaky mouse who’s chewing on more than he can digest!

  • One by one, the BJPs pack of cards is tumbling down and however it may advance its strategy to come back to power, the People’s Voice against Corruption & Mismanagement will reflect resoundingly in the elections!
Tap Water Availability@Another false media savvy statement from CM

Agreed that there are taps in every household but does water flow through these taps & if so at what frequency? Once a Day, Once a Week, Once a Month or Never at All !

First it was Zero Mortality, now its availability of Tap water. The CM is in Election mode back from Delhi and making False statements when the truth is entirely different.

I call upon not just Porvorkars but all Goans to register their availability of Tap water in their homes. It’s time the people of Goa took upon themselves to expose the repeated tall media claims of CM Pramod Sawant!

Michael Lobo#Sins Come Calling

The High Office of the Lokayukta which has been making scathing observations on the Goa Government under Dr Pramod Sawant has now come out with highly adverse strictures against Minister Shri Michael Lobo who was the then Chairperson of NGPDA. The Lokayukta has not minced words while clearly stating that Shri Lobo is “Unfit to hold his post”.

Goans will recall that this same Lokayukta had earlier observed that Only God can Save Goa from this Government. And to reiterate on the fact that this Government is shamelessly beyond redemption, the Lokayukta has added in this instance that it’s futile to make a declaration about the Minister being unfit for the post because it’s upto the CM to decide whether Mr Lobo should continue as Minister!

It doesn’t require a genius to interpret the sarcasm behind the additional remarks because everyone including the Lokayukta knows that the CM Pramod Sawant and Michael Lobo are hand in gloves in everything. Never will Dr Corruption ask his trusted Partner in Crime to step down as Minister.

The case of trampling on the rights of a simple & honest citizen has now seen the Light of Justice due to the upright standing of our Hon’ble Lokayukta. Every effort was made to threaten, downplay and erase the criminal act with political tactics but Truth will always prevail and the Sins against helpless innocents will definitely come calling.

One by one, the BJPs pack of cards is tumbling down and however it may advance its strategy to come back to power, the People’s Voice against Corruption & Mismanagement will reflect resoundingly in the elections!

12 more Goan lives sacrificed@Covid Mismanagement

Today another 12 Goans lives are claimed at the sacrificial stone of Covid Mismanagement. I find myself utterly helpless as Covid snatches away people known to me. As the spike continues unabated, death and grief keeps coming closer.

When even the life of Dr Mario Godinho fell prey to horrendous negligence and lack of even basic requirements like oxygen, how can the people of Goa rely on the Government Hospitals to protect their lives?

This high profile case and the continuing Two Digit deaths per day point a direct accusatory finger to the False Political Statements of Dr Pramod Sawant about achieving Zero Mortality and the blame game of Health Minister that people are bringing patients on the brink of death to Govt hospitals. The Question is, Why would any person in his right mind take the risk of seeking treatment at a Government hospital with such a horrifying state of affairs.

We have the most Dedicated Medical Fraternity who are but helpless due to lack of infrastructure, amenities and motivational support from the Government. If at all someone voices against the pathetic conditions, they’re viciously targeted and punished for speaking the truth.

The CM and Health Minister should stop making mere political statements//stop blaming the people and brush up their acts to ensure that no more Goan lives fall prey to their Covid mismanagement follies.

School Opening = Cruel Blunder

The CM is promoting his biggest and cruelest blunder till date by saying parents are willing to send children to school. Who are these parents who have secretly conveyed their approval to the CMs ghastly proposition that puts our children’s life in danger? Unless they’re mindless & ruthless like our Dr CM and his coterie with ulterior motives, no loving parent would dare take the risk of sending children to sure Covid infection and imminent death!

When Dr Pramod Sawant and his Ministers dare not take the risk of a full-fledged Assembly session, What right do they have to put our children at risk? Or is it that the life of CM & Ministers are precious while our children’s lives are disposable & worthless.

Anyone in his sanity would understand how difficult it is to control youngsters leave alone make them follow Social Distancing and other Covid protocols.

Is the CM who’s also holding the Education portfolio ready to take a direct Online Survey from parents on this topic? I think not, because the angst filled sharp responses of parents will blast him out of his High Chair of Absolute Mismanagement!

If the CM is so concerned about the education of our children then instead of bringing children to schools, he and his Government should revamp the Online Schooling methodology by plugging the loopholes, provide better connectivity and also mobiles and tabs to those who can’t afford the same.

Before taking a decision, the risk factor involved is to be assessed above everything else. The CMOs stand that 90% Headmasters are ready to open schools is being contradicted by Headmasters Group which says that 90% are against starting schools now. It’s the height of insensitivity by CM & Govt that they’re playing this cat and mouse game with our children’s lives. This is a glaringly cruel example of Administrative Mismanagement but one that just cannot be tolerated as it involves the precious lives of our children.

When the Government has already failed miserably in Covid management, Why is it trying to add more Covid cases purposefully, that too of our precious children?

Haven’t the CM had enough deaths on his hands due to his blunderous Covid Mismanagement?

Human Welfare should be the motto of Good Governance not Human Sacrifice to satisfy Autocratic egos by implementing blunderous proposals. I call upon every loving Goan parent to vehemently register their protest against this absolutely disastrous move to bring children to schools in this precarious Covid scenario.

IMA Exit- Devastating blow to Covid control

The much appreciated life saving services of the IMA in Covid control has been withdrawn citing duplication & other causes but whatever be the reason, it’s a devastating blow to Covid Management in Goa. The contribution of Indian Dental & Homeopathic Association’s alongside IMA has been commendable & life saving.

While exiting with utmost appreciation from everyone, these Saviours have given valuable inputs for better Covid control like timely restructuring of Covid protocols, imposing stricter preventive measures, real-time status of infection in each area, transparency in recording statistics etc.

At this precarious point of Covid spike, we cannot afford to lose out on the life saving assistance of IMA & it’s partners. I implore the CM to intervene for the continuation of IMA services as before. We need all medical support to overcome these perilously pandemic times.

Does 12 Covid Deaths/Day Equal Zero Mortality Dr CM???

As Covid deaths and infection rates keep going higher in accordance with the projected spike, I request all Goenkars to maintain Social Distancing because until a vaccine is developed, this is the most effective Social Vaccine against Covid spread.
We are witnessing a spurt in contact transmission throughout the country with difficulty to even trace out the source of contact. At this critical juncture, it becomes all the more important as responsible citizens to maintain strict Covid protocols & social distancing to protect ourselves and our fellow citizens.
The country as a whole is surpassing all records of transmission and even the least bit of carelessness proves detrimental. Each citizen should take upon themselves the onus of ensuring that they wear masks, observe regular sanitisation and strictly maintain social distancing.
Government should implement stricter norms and double the fine on mask offenders. Shops and Establishments should be penalised for not maintaining Social distancing and second time offenders should be shut down. Local Community groups should be involved to ensure monitoring at grassroot levels.
Presently we’re looking at a Second Wave in Europe and Gulf and we need to be prepared for a long haul.
Government should strengthen the entire health services and plan for long term standoff with the pandemic by putting in place permanent infrastructure facilities and amenities as we will be living with the fear of Covid for sometime now.
It’s time we invoke our Goemkarponn and unitedly commit ourselves to voluntary stringent observation of Covid norms, the most important being social distancing.
BE RESPONSIBLE, BE SAFE, BE HEALTHY!

Goans Suffer as Govt Fails to Control Commodity Prices & Unemployment Soars

Goans suffer as Govt fails to control commodity prices & Unemployment soars while Government denies Welfare Benefits like DSS, Griha Aadhar, Gas Subsidy etc.

Covid is making life worse for us not just as a health hazard, it’s affected every aspect of our lives. To make things even more worse for Goans our Government has failed to not just control Covid but also the crashing economy. Our incomes are either halved or nil while commodity prices are going higher and higher making it absolutely difficult to balance the home budget. Most essential items like onions, potatoes & tomatoes have hiked between upto 120% and still climbing.

Dr Pramod Sawant and his Government has failed to control the prices when the purchasing power of the common man is down.

People have lost jobs and new employment opportunities are scarce and in these circumstances it’s expected of the Government to step in with atleast timely distribution of welfare benefits like DSS, Griha Aadhar, Gas Subsidy all of which are pending for months. The poor souls who depend entirely on these welfare measures are made to do rounds of Government offices exposing them to Covid which will make life hell for them.
This Government has failed to take care of its people when needed and so Goans don’t need this Government anymore!

Tourism Fiasco

Quite on the heels of World Tourism Day, we hear that Goa Government is yet to finalise the Draft Tourism Policy. What can we call this but Absolute Lacunae in Governance? Goa is the Tourism Capital of India and holds a prominent in the World Tourism Circuit. Our economy depends on this sector and yet our CM Pramod Sawant is still sitting on the Draft Tourism Policy for months together when throughout India, governments are making every efforts to revive the tourism industry. Maybe he’s not finished “Studying” the draft even after so many months since he’s too busy with scams, and liaising with the who’s who of the Money Launderers, Drug syndicates, Bollywood and lately, devising election strategies.

There’s also a possibility that the devious minds of Dr Corruption and his gang are yet to decide on the modus operandi as to how the proposed Tourism Board could be used, bent & manipulated to promote their vested interests to the maximum. Hopefully they will soon arrive on a consensus of loot and approve the draft!

It’s time Goans realise each of these purposeful instances of Bad Governance of Dr Pramod Sawant and his Government which has spelt the doom of Goa, be it through Covid Mismanagement or the Administrative Lacunae in all sectors including Tourism which will soon destroy our already struggling Tourism sector.

Sanjivani – A case study of Mismanagement

With the recent announcement of bringing the Sanjivani Sugar Factory under the Agriculture Department, the CMOs is trying to veil the real issues of more than 45 years of Corruption and Mismanagement by successive governments. As far as the present BJP Government is concerned, certain Ministers and party bigwigs have their eyes on the vast tracks of land under Sanjivani. Besides, there’s a list of scams relating to tenders, routing of good quality molasses without full extraction to factories outside Goa, maintenance frauds, harvest purchase fixations and much more. This transfer could well be a front to shove all that under the rug!

If the CMOs was aware of basic governance norms, it wouldn’t have gone ahead with this absurd transfer from Cooperative Sector to a fully Government Department. The very basic standing of Cooperatives is based on shareholders who are not part of a Government Department. The only Government involvement in Cooperatives is that the Government also holds shares and supports the venture as a Public enterprise.

If at all the CMOs was doing this with noble intentions in a democratic manner, then the first step would have been to hold a General Body of Shareholders and pass a proposal of dissolution of the Cooperative with a comprehensive compensation for the shareholders who aren’t in support of the this dissolution. Only after this could the transfer have a legal standing. Presently the CMOs can expect a slew of litigation from shareholders which will drag Sanjivani into further controversy with no immediate solution or relief.

But then how can we expect actions as per proper Administrative norms from a Government which is notorious for flaunting every rule of Good Governance to push its single minded agenda of Corruption?

Suffice is to say that since it’s inception in 1973, Sanjivani has proved to be an easy target for scams due to which its perennially in loss.

The Goan public has right to a White Paper Report on this White Elephant that’s been eating into the Public Exchequer for more than 4 decades.

What difference the transfer of control from Cooperation Department to Agricultural Department makes to this White Elephant of Goa’s public sector, needs to be seen. Will this transfer of control be followed up by Fast Track Enquiry’s on the various scams? Will the guilty be punished and the losses recovered from them? Will there be a honest effort to revive the facility which is corroded beyond repairs on the mechanical front and also corroded with Corruption on the Management front. Or will this change of guard facilitate more scams and embezzlement in the name of revival?

With Dr Corruption at the helm, it would be no wonder if Sanjivani surpasses its previous record’s of scams under the new arrangement!
